How Do I Meet People?

Church is not a place for spectators. It’s a family. Whether you are a five-year old child, a ninety-five year old grandmother, a busy mom, or a businessman with big responsibilities, we want you to be a vibrant part of our church community.
Here is how you can Connect, Grow, Serve, and Go!

We want to know you! We can’t serve you and we certainly can’t effectively serve our community unless we’re truly family. Sunday morning worship service (10:45 am) is the basic starting point for getting to know us and us getting to know you.
We also have several small groups, women’s ministry, and youth ministry where you can go deeper with God and others.

The natural pattern of life is growth. Just as a child needs the right foods and nutrition to physically grow, believers need to ensure a steady spiritual diet for spiritual growth. Our small groups are a great place for this, as is our Bible Training University (BTU) which is during our Sunday School hour at 9:20 am.

Jesus did not come to be served, but to serve (Mk 10:45) and has left for us both a mandate (Matt 28:19-20) and an example of what a life of service looks like. While there are countless ways for you to serve the Lord, as a church we have several opportunities to serve as a community:
  • Children’s Ministry– many children come to Grace each week. And we need many people to help serve and care for them. Contact us if you are interested in working in our children’s ministry. We also are in need of food and monetary donations as we provide breakfast each Sunday morning during our BTU class.
  • Mission Trips– each year we send out teams from our church to places near and far to spread the gospel and love of our Lord Jesus Christ. For more information, please contact Sarah.
  • Syrian Refugees in Tucson – we regularly make trips to Tucson to serve in predominately Syrian neighborhoods. Let us know if you’re interested in joining us the next time we go.
  • Crossroads Mission– located just a few miles from us, the mission has served the community of Yuma for over 50 years. This is a great ministry that is always in need of volunteers and donations of all kinds.

We firmly believe that we are be disciples who are making disciples! It is not enough to simply “go through life” as a Christian. It is vital that we are producing spiritual children/nephews/nieces/etc. That is the crux of the Great Commission – “go and make disciples…” (Matt 28:19-20). That is also the crux of our mission as a church. Will you join us?
